Swedtel strengthens presence in Middle East

Swedtel International establishes a joint venture company, Swedtel Arabia Ltd, with Saudi partner Al Hejailan.

Swedtel International has started a new company, Swedtel Arabia Ltd, together with Al Hejailan, a leading Saudi industrial conglomerate. The joint venture company will be headquartered in Riyadh.Swedtel joins as partner with a majority share of 51 percent.

At the same time Swedtel moves its regional office to Swedtel Arabia and closes its office in Dubai.

“This is a logical step for us to reinforce our customer support both nationally in KSA and in the Middle East region”, says CEO Per Dahl. “The deepened cooperation with our partner we will also enable us to better provide a wider spectrum of resources to our customers for all kinds of telecom operations.”
