True partnership
In 1997 Swedtel became partner to Colombia Telecom in creating, developing and launching Capitel, a local operator serving Colombia’s capital city Bogotá. Swedtel has been helping Capitel to successfully implement a competitive, turnkey marketing, sales, customer care and billing organization complete with recruited and trained staff.

Exceeding expectations
Entering the venture as a partner, Swedtel shared Colombia Telecom’s incentive and commitment to maximize the profits of the company. Swedtel exceeded the specified deliverables, lifted the profits of the company and therefore beat the expectations of Colombia Telecom.
Swedtel achieved this by delivering strategies, processes and routines, while transferring know-how and training
to Capitel staff. We integrated 15 sub-contractors in a complex IT solution across the company’s product development, marketing, sales, customer care and billing areas through a number of customer interfaces, such as; Call Center, Town centers, WEB, IVR and others.
Swedtel’s consultants also coordinated areas of the company and led its cultural transformation into a customer-oriented and competitive organization.
