Start-up of Suntel in Sri Lanka Swedtel started working with Telia-owned WLL/DECT company Suntel in Sri Lanka in 1996. We undertook and successfully completed the start-up of the company from license award to commercial operation within 6 months. During the contract period Swedtel performed an operational overview in which we reviewed the then policies, procedures and processes to ensure that the business performed efficiently and to safeguard the interests of management, shareholders and lenders. Swedtel also participated in the audit working-team and was in charge of the technical overview that reviewed these main tasks: network, switching, access network, transmission, as well as operation and maintenance.
